Description

40% nylon, 32% mohair, 28% wool.

Lova is the pink one: a soft pink leopard knit, long and narrow, with tassels at both ends. At 200 x 9 cm it ties once at the neck; wear it with grey, camel or denim.

Dimensions: 200 x 9 cm | Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly.

Shipping

Delivery usually takes 2–3 weeks from your order; most parcels arrive within 13–21 days.

EU: free shipping on orders of €55 or more (counted after discounts), €4.95 below that. Australia: free shipping.

VAT is included in the price, and we pay any import VAT and duty ourselves, so there is nothing to pay on delivery, whatever your order value. You get a tracking link by email when your order ships. See our shipping policy for details.

Care

Air it rather than wash it. Wool and cashmere resist odour, so a night on a hanger in a well aired room will usually do. Check the care label on your scarf before any wash.

When a wash is needed, do it by hand in cool water with a little wool detergent. Do not wring or twist. Press the water out between your palms or a towel, then dry flat, away from radiators and direct sun. Do not hang it wet, because the weight pulls the scarf out of shape. Reshape it while it is still damp.

Press on a low setting with a cloth between the iron and the scarf, or hold a steamer a few inches away.

Cashmere pills in the first few weeks, while the shortest fibres work their way out. Comb the bobbles off with a wool comb and the surface settles down. The mohair knits shed a little at first in the same way. Over the summer, store the scarf folded in a closed drawer and keep an eye on it, because moths are drawn to animal fibres. More on the fibres in wool and cashmere, not acrylic.

FROM CURIOUS TO CONFIDENT

Will it itch?

That depends on the fibre and on you. The wool and cashmere scarves are the softest against the neck, because cashmere is the finer fibre. The pure wool ones are more hard wearing and sit a little firmer. If you know you are sensitive to wool, the 65% wool and 35% cashmere scarves are the ones to start with, and you have 30 days to decide.

How do I wear one this long?

The long scarves run from 180 to 200 cm, which is enough for a double loop: fold it in half, put it round your neck, then pull both ends through the fold. Freya and Ilse are 70 cm wide, so they also work opened out as a wrap over a coat. The narrow knits at 9 cm tie once and sit flat under a collar.

Is it warm enough for a real winter?

Yes, and it keeps working when the weather turns. Wool and cashmere are naturally crimped fibres, so they hold pockets of still air, and they go on insulating when they are damp, which is what matters in fog, drizzle or wet snow. The 200 x 70 cm scarves are large enough to wear as a wrap when it is properly cold.
