FROM CURIOUS TO CONFIDENT
Will it itch?
That depends on the fibre and on you. The wool and cashmere scarves are the softest against the neck, because cashmere is the finer fibre. The pure wool ones are more hard wearing and sit a little firmer. If you know you are sensitive to wool, the 65% wool and 35% cashmere scarves are the ones to start with, and you have 30 days to decide.
How do I wear one this long?
The long scarves run from 180 to 200 cm, which is enough for a double loop: fold it in half, put it round your neck, then pull both ends through the fold. Freya and Ilse are 70 cm wide, so they also work opened out as a wrap over a coat. The narrow knits at 9 cm tie once and sit flat under a collar.
Is it warm enough for a real winter?
Yes, and it keeps working when the weather turns. Wool and cashmere are naturally crimped fibres, so they hold pockets of still air, and they go on insulating when they are damp, which is what matters in fog, drizzle or wet snow. The 200 x 70 cm scarves are large enough to wear as a wrap when it is properly cold.
